Irene Daxboeck-Rigoir
Born in Marseille/France, but has lived in Graz since early childhood.
Although she trained and worked professionally as achemist for many years.
She also attended several art workshops and art academies under renowned
professional tutors in Austria and abroad like
Prof. Otte, Prof. Karl, Prof. Kirschner,
Rasema Santic, Arthur
Redhead, Albrecht Volk
and more before taking up painting full time in 1984.
Since 1996 she has also been working as a sculptor.
She experiments with different techniques using pastel, oil and acrylicas her
medium. She describes her source of inspiration as
„reflecting mood and atmosphere through the use of color and shape“
Now, having gained recognition as a freelance artist, she belongs to several arts
associations in Austria – including
